Snow! Snow! Snow!!

Neely was able to experience her first snow last week...I don't think she really cares for the cold weather!  (She gets that from her mommy!) I was looking through old pictures and got all teary eyed seeing how much Gabe has grown!  Here are some pictures from his 1st snow til' now!  My, time flies!!!

Gabe's first time sledding!!!

We got about 3 inches of snow on Tuesday, so Tuesday night I took Gabe sledding!  I wasn't sure that he would like it, but after the first "small" hill he was HOOKED!!!  He kept getting braver and braver.  He kept telling me that he wanted to go "all by myself"!  I was a lot nervous, but I let him go and he LOVED it!!!  He laughed the entire way down!  I thought he was going to fall off when his sled actually went over another sled that was buried in the snow.  He didn't fall, but he did "catch some air"!!!!  We had so much fun!  I can't wait to do it again soon...maybe next time David will be here and we'll take Neely so the whole family can have fun in the snow!

Santa Clause 2009!!!

I took Gabe and Neely to see Santa last week!  Gabe had fun telling Santa that he wanted "cars, trucks, and trains with the tracks!"  He looks scared to death in the picture, but he really had fun!  Neely, on the other hand, didn't like Santa quite as much!  I don't think that she was scared of him, but she just doesn't really warm up to strangers quite as quickly as Gabe does!!

My what a difference a year makes!!

Getting ready for Christmas!

It's been a really long time since I've posted on my blog... sorry, we've been really busy.  The week before Thanksgiving I flew Gabe and Neely down to my mom and dad's house, then I flew to NYC to meet David for the weekend, then we flew back to KC, then we drove down to Mississippi the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, then we went to Raylin's 2nd birthday party on Sunday, and lastly drove home.  Since then we've just been going to Christmas parties and getting ready for our first Christmas at HOME!!  I'm excited and sad about this at the same time.  I'm glad that we don't have to travel, but I'll miss being with family.  We are hopeful that my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, niece, nephew and mother-in-law will come before Christmas, and my mom is coming Christmas day.  Here are a few pictures that we've taken over the holidays so far!

Pumpkin Carving!

I got home from meetings in California just in time to carve our halloween pumpkin.  Gabe really likes to scoop out the pumpkin seeds.  He thinks that it's soooo funny!  Thanks Daddy for doing such a GREAT job carving this years Jack-O-Lantern!!!

Trick or Treat!!!

What a fun night!  We went trick or treating with Makena, Alexandria, Aila and Makayla.  They had so much fun and RACKED in the candy!  After we got home Gabe was WIRED.  He was running all over the house and it was really actually funny.  I'm sure that the first thing he will say to me in the morning is, "When it gets darky  outside can we go trick or treating?"  The only problem I have with Halloween is I end up eating all the left over candy!

Pumpkin Patch!

We went to the pumpkin patch last weekend when my Mom was visiting...we had such a good time.  It was cold, windy and muddy but we still found some great pumpkins!  I can't wait to make this a yearly tradition!

Our First Trip to Childrens Mercy...

A couple of weeks ago Gabe was running and fell head first into the fireplace mantle.  He got a SERIOUS  bump on his noggin.  I called the doctor and they said that we should probably take him to the ER.  Of course Gabe was fine, and the doctor basically told me I overreacted!!!  Well, at least I felt better knowing that it was just a bad bump and nothing more!  He wanted a Batman band-aid on his bump.  It took a couple of days and a lot of bribing for me to get to take it off!  Thank goodness my little live wire is OK!!

Just another day at the Leathers house!!

Here at the Leathers house we've just been busy with nothing!  We've been playing, reading, coloring, and playing some more!  I just wanted to share with you a few new pictures!

Neely's Baby Dedication

A couple of weeks ago we had Neely's baby dedication.  She was so good and happy the entire time.  I pray that God will keep her safe and walk with her all along the path of life.  Gabe was so sweet for the dedication.  He kept saying that we were going to get Neely dedicated so she could love Jesus!  I just love my two babies!!

Gabe...my little baseball player!

We just finished getting all of the pieces for Gabe's Halloween costume.  He really, REALLY wanted to be a baseball player.  That made his Daddy VERY happy!!  On Saturday he wanted to put it on and play baseball in the basement (which is where he can hit the ball off the tee without breaking anything).  He loved "pretending" that he was a Red Sox baseball player...Like Father like Son!!!

Fall photo session

Sunday I tried to take some pictures of Gabe and Neely together.  As you can see, it didn't turn out so well.  Gabe, for once, was actually OK.  Neely, on the other hand, was not so happy.  She hasn't been feeling good lately.  I'm thinking it's teeth!!  Oh well, we'll try again next week!
