It SNOWED...on March 28th!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!

Well, we're finally into spring, but it SNOWED!!!!  The weather man started out saying we were going to get anywhere from 6-12 inches of snow, then just a dusting, but we ended up getting about 3 inches.  After the snow finally slowed down I took Gabe out to sled and build a snowman.  We had so much fun.  I can't wait for David to get healthy and Neely to get a little bigger so we can all go out and play in the snow.... hopefully that will be NEXT winter!!!  For now, we're ready for the SUN!!!

Neely and Gabe's Doctors Visit!

Well, now that Gabe and Neely are 3 and 1 I had to take them to the doctor for their yearly well checks.  First, they are both healthy as can be!!  Gabe has grown 6 inches since last year and is now in the 90% for height.  He weighs 33 pounds and only the 50% for weight.  He is getting to be such a little man!!  Neely is a VERY HEALTHY 23 pounds and in the 80% for weight and in the 50% height.  I'm confident that she will soon sprout up like her big brother did!!  She had to have 3 shots, but did SO good for them.  I think that Gabe was more upset than she was about the shots.  Did I mention that he is a GREAT big brother?!?!  I'm just hoping that this year is as uneventful as last!!

Gabe's 3rd Birthday Party at Pump it UP!

Gabe had his Dinosaur birthday party today at Pump it Up!  He had a BLAST!!!  He had so many friends come and celebrate, and that was SO special to him and us!!  He absolutely loves jumping and sliding on all the "things" there.  He was running from one activity to the other.  I hardly even saw him.  After all that running and jumping all the kids really worked up an appetite.  They ate pizza and lots of dinosaur cake.  The cake was very yummy, so I understand why they all wanted more!  We had such a good time...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LITTLE DINOSAUR!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Gabe!!!

My little boy is growing up...he turned 3 today!  Can you believe that Gabe is THREE?!?  It seems like just yesterday that I was cleaning up ALL of his spit-up, changing his dirty diapers and getting all of his kisses!  Actually, I don't really miss the spit up or diaper part!  Luckily he still loves me, and likes giving me his kisses!  We started out the morning with muffins and playtime.  After that we opened his presents...it was like Christmas again!  Then we played with those toys and took a nap.  After nap we went to the mall and let Gabe build a bear.  He named him Bo Sox (of course Daddy helped with the name).  After that we rode the "round and round".  This is one of Gabe's favorite things to do!  Neely also loves it!  We celebrated a birthday dinner at Red Robin where he was surprised with balloons and a birthday ice cream sundae.  We are finishing the day watching Monsters Inc...a new birthday present!  What a GREAT day!  Tomorrow we'll have his party at Pump It Up!  He keeps asking when we get to go and celebrate his party!  I'm sure that he'll have a blast tomorrow, too!  I pray that he has a blessed year, and I pray that God will give us the strength to raise him to be a good christian.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY GABE!!!

Neelys 1st Haircut

I took Neely to get her first haircut today.  She was looking a little scraggly!  The girl who cut it even was able to give her a little "jennifer aniston" braid.  She look so cute...except the scratch under her eye and the bruise on her head!  Gabe and Neely started a new school this week (they both did great!!), but on the first day Neely fell not once, but TWICE!!!!  I guess she got her grace from her daddy..OK maybe from mommy!  But, they both LOVED their new school, and Gabe can't wait to go back next week.

Today is Neely's first birthday!  I can't believe that it's been one year since this little cupcake has come into our lives.  She has been such a blessing, and I thank God everyday that she is mine!  I pray each day that she will be a strong little girl that loves life and her Savior.  

Unfortunately today David is also having surgery.  I'm actually posting this from the hospital as I wait for his surgeon to come and update me on his surgery.  I will update everyone when I know more.  Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers!

A David Update...

First, let me say thank you to all for the many prayers for David.  For those who don't know what has been going on here is a quick update.  Last Wednesday, Feb. 25th, David woke up and was having trouble walking.  I just blew it off and went to the gym.  After my pilates class I had a message from him saying he couldn't walk.  I rushed home, called his doctor and they told me to take him to the ER.  Well, that was all fine and dandy, but he couldn't walk and I couldn't get him in the car.  I had to call an ambulance to come and get him...that was fun.  They took him to the ER where they admitted him and then tried to manage his pain with drugs like morphine, vicoden, flexaril, etc.  None of these gave him much, if any, relief.  On Thursday, which was the day we were suppose to be leaving for our Mexican vacation, he had a nerve block....that didn't work.  So finally, after they gave us no answers and David got no pain relief they sent him home with LOTS of meds.  So since we've been home David has been banished to the bed only getting up to use the restroom, but even that is a task.  We have an appointment with a neurosurgeon on Wednesday, and we are praying that he has answers.  Please keep us in your prayers and pray that the doctors finally figure out what is going wrong and then have the urgency to FIX it!!!
